Terms of use.

Feneri Inc. Last updated 12 September 2026. These terms are a contract. If you do not agree, do not use the Interface or create an account.

Feneri is a guided check-in in the browser. It is for personal reflection. It is not therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care. Access is opening gradually. New accounts may sit on a waitlist.

The agreement

These terms are between you and Feneri Inc. (“Feneri”, “we”, “us”). They cover the website at feneri.xyz, the Interface at /app, sign-in, the waitlist, and the contact form. The developer platform (API, Studio, MCP, docs) may have extra terms when you take a paid plan. If those extra terms conflict with this page for API use, the extra terms win for that use. For a personal check-in, this page wins.

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or starting a sitting, you accept this policy and the Privacy page.

The product

The Interface is a guided video check-in. A sitting is about five questions and at most six minutes of recorded media. Feneri analyses face, voice and words together and writes a reflection (emotion labels, sentiment, a balance score, moments, a short narrative). Free accounts may start two sittings per UTC day. Empty or abandoned starts still count.

Pro (more sittings a day) is not for sale on this site yet. When it is, this page will say so.

Feneri is not a clinician, not a medical device, and not a crisis line. A balance score is not a diagnosis.

Who may use it

You must be 18 or older. You must be able to form a contract. You must not use the Interface if you are barred from doing so under the laws that apply to you. Do not create an account for someone else without their knowledge.

If you use Feneri for an organisation, you confirm you can bind that organisation to these terms.

Account and waitlist

You sign in with email and password or Google. Keep the login to yourself. You are responsible for sittings started from your account. Sign out on a shared computer.

During private alpha, a new account is waitlisted unless we have admitted the email (for example a team domain). Waitlisted users see a holding screen, not the check-in. Leaving an email on /request-access does not by itself open /app. Admission is our choice and can be withdrawn if these terms are broken.

Tell us if you think the account was used without you. We can revoke sessions. We can refuse a signup that looks automated or abusive.

Your licence to use Feneri

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Interface for your own check-ins, while you comply with these terms. We do not sell you the models, the Interface source, or the Feneri name.

You may not scrape other people’s sessions, probe the service for a security hole except through a coordinated disclosure to contact@feneri.xyz, resell access, or run a sitting as a benchmark for a competing model using our outputs as the training set.

Your recordings

You keep whatever rights you already have in your face, voice and words. You grant Feneri a limited licence to host, analyse, and display that sitting to you, and to people you explicitly share with (a 24-hour link or a PDF you download), so we can provide the product. That licence ends when we delete the data as described in Privacy, except for copies you exported, backups that have not yet aged out, or records we must keep.

You confirm you will not record another person in a sitting unless they know and agree. You confirm the sitting is not meant to capture someone else’s therapy session, a classroom, or a workplace without the people on camera knowing.

Do not upload illegal content, sexual content involving minors (we will report it), malware, or material you do not have the right to record.

What we ask of you

  • Use Feneri for your own reflection, not to surveil someone else.
  • Do not try to break quotas, the waitlist, or another person’s account.
  • Do not reverse engineer the models except as the law allows.
  • Do not imply that a Feneri score is a clinical finding.
  • If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a local helpline. The Interface may show resources; it cannot come to you.

Not medical advice

Reflections, emotion labels, balance scores, Insights, and any crisis card are information for self-reflection. They are not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, or emergency responder. If you think you might harm yourself or someone else, stop and get help in the real world. In the United States you can call or text 988. Other countries have local numbers; the Interface lists some when a sitting looks distressed, and that list is not complete.

You agree that Feneri is not responsible for decisions you make after reading a reflection, including whether to seek care, change medication, or share a report.

Privacy

The Privacy page is part of this contract. It explains retention modes (delete media right after analysis, after 30 days, or keep until you delete), processors, cookies, and how to ask us to erase an account.

Price

The personal Interface is free to start: two sittings a UTC day, the same reflection, no per-minute meter. Pro is coming soon and is not offered for purchase on this site today. We may change Free limits with notice in the app or by email. Developer pricing on /developers/pricing is a separate rate card and is not this product.

If we ever charge a personal fee, we will say the price before you pay. Taxes are extra where the law requires.

Our intellectual property

The Interface, the models, the writing in a reflection that the product generates as its own narrative layer, the Feneri name and mark, and this website belong to Feneri Inc. and its licensors. You may not copy them except as needed to use the product.

Feedback you send (a bug, a sentence of product advice) may be used to improve Feneri without paying you. We will not treat your private sitting as “feedback.”

Other services

Sign-in may use Google. Hosting, storage, analysis, mail and error reports use the processors named in Privacy. Their terms apply to that slice. If Google sign-in is down, we cannot create that session for you.

Availability and alpha

The Interface is in private development and early access. It may be slow, wrong, or offline. Sittings may fail after you have spoken. We will try to keep data safe; we do not promise a particular uptime, a particular model version, or that a reflection will match how you felt.

Analysis uses machine models. They misread faces, accents, lighting, and language. Arabic and other languages may be weaker than English on the current engine. You should not rely on a sitting as the only record of your state of mind.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, Feneri is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Interface will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that a reflection is accurate, complete, or appropriate for any clinical use.

Some places do not allow these disclaimers. In those places, they apply only as far as the law allows, and you may have extra rights that this page cannot take away.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Feneri Inc. and its officers, employees and contractors are not liable for lost profits, lost data, replacement sitting time, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the Interface is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the personal Interface in the 12 months before the claim (today: zero) and (b) fifty US dollars (US $50).

Nothing here limits liability that the law says cannot be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence where that bar exists, or fraud.

You will indemnify Feneri Inc. against claims that arise from your recordings, your misuse of the Interface, or your breaking these terms, except to the extent we caused the harm.

Suspension and ending

You may stop using Feneri at any time. Email us to delete the account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that looks like abuse, or that we cannot support in a given country. We may stop offering the Interface. If we close the personal product entirely, we will try to give you a way to export or delete what we hold, and we will say so by email if we have one.

Sections that should survive ending (including Your recordings, Not medical advice, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Governing law) do survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may still seek an injunction anywhere, and except that you may have a right to bring a claim in your home country if consumer law there says so.

If a court strikes one sentence, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term once, we may still enforce it later. You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them in a merger or sale of the product.

These terms are the whole agreement for the personal Interface and this website. They replace earlier website terms for that use.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top will change. If a change is material (for example a new fee, or a new use of check-ins), we will say so in the app or by email before it applies to old sittings, except where the law requires it sooner. If you keep using the Interface after the new terms apply, you accept them. If you do not, stop and ask us to delete the account.
